Our Certifications

Ethical Clothing Australia

ECA Certified

We choose to knit with a Melbourne factory that is certified by Ethical Clothing Australia. ECA focuses on ensuring that local TCF workers are being paid appropriately, receiving all their legal minimum entitlements and working in safe conditions throughout the entire supply chain. The program maps a business’s Australian supply chain throughout design, production, and dispatch. Being accredited and supporting ECA accredited businesses strengthens the local industry and helps protect the wages, entitlements and conditions of workers in Australia’s TCF sector.

The ECA can only grant certifications in Australia, but our New Zealand factory adheres to the same high standards for the ethical treatment of their team in accordance with local labour laws.

Responsibly sourced Wool & Alpaca

RWS & RAS Certified.

The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) and Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS) safeguards the welfare of sheep, alpacas, and the ecosystems around them.

The standard requires all sites, from farms through to the seller, to be certified. RAS and RWS farmers and ranchers must meet animal welfare, land management, and social requirements.

Better Cotton Initiative

BCI Certified

The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future. Through BCI and its Partners, farmers receive training on how to use water efficiently, care for the health of the soil and natural habitats, reduce the use of the most harmful chemicals and apply decent work principles.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

All of our yarns have been tested for harmful substances and therefore are harmless in human ecological terms. The test is conducted by independent OEKO-TEX® partner institutes on the basis of the extensive OEKO-TEX® criteria catalogue. In the test, they take into account numerously regulated and non-regulated substances, which may be harmful to human health. In many cases, the limit values for the STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international requirements.

OEKO-TEX® certifications take into account how directly the product will be in contact with the skin: our yarns are tested to the highest possible grade: “Product class I: Articles for babies and toddlers”.
